From War to Peace: The Story of Great Britain and the United States
Published in Paperback by Bill Lambers (01 October, 1999)
Authors: William Lambers and Lisa Clermont
Average review score:

Another Lambers Masterpiece!
Five stars plus for this young mans insight, interpretation, and brilliant display of history. I like many other readers were turned off by the boring history books we read in school. Lambers captures the true spirit of history! Because of the excitement this book ignites; this book has the potential to change the course of how history is viewed and studied. This book is a MUST READ for everyone. This book would make a great gift not only for teachers and history buffs, but also the person who hungers for knowledge. (The study guide is an added bonus to treasure) BRAVO!

Neat package of history
I read the book first, and it was interesting to realize that the peaceful relations with Britain that we now take for granted were nonexistent and took hard work to accomplish. And the Study Guide is very good, and is surprisingly loaded with historical facts and fun word searches. I wish I had studied with this kind of material instead of boring history books that made me "hate" history for many years. Now I love it!

Easy Reading
This book is early American history in a "capsule," full of important events describing the conflicts between America and Britain, yet imagines the ordinary citizen's feelings about the wars in an interesting blend of fiction and history. Young people especially should read it.

Great Coloring Book, excellent artwork
This is a fun book for the whole family. It's fun to color plus there is plenty of good artwork to go with it. The art club sounds fun too.

Uneasy Spirits: Ghost Stories & Haunted Places of Clermont County, Ohio
Published in Library Binding by Rhiannon Pubns (September, 1997)
Author: Richard Crawford
Average review score:

Very good book for ghost story lovers!
This book is very interesting and well written. It has pictures which is a good plus. The thing that makes this a good, spooky book is that the stories are local. They are stories that could be similiar right in your own home town. What also makes it a good book is that it was written by someone who lives in the area where the stories take place and he is also the county historian, so the stories come pretty much straight from the source. This is a great book I very much reccomend it.

Civil procedure
Published in Unknown Binding by West Pub. Co. ()
Author: Kevin M. Clermont
Average review score:

An excellent source for information to supplement a casebook
This is another in the long line of hornbooks from West publishing. It is an excellent source to supplement and even embellish the law of Civil Procedure contained in whichever casebook you are using. Since most Civil Procedure courses are a year long, I would strongly recommend investing in this hornbook, it is very handy to have when outlining and preparing for finals.

Useful and reliable
The "book description" above belongs to a different book: this hornbook is not part of the "Black Letter Series," its author is not Professor Clermont, and it doesn't come with a handy computer disk.

It is, however, an extremely helpful hornbook to have and use during your first-year course on Civil Procedure. If you're a One-L, buy this early and use it often; it'll go with pretty much whatever casebook you happen to be using (mine was Yeazell). It's extremely well-designed and its discussions are clear and sound.

If you're looking around in order to decide whether you need a hornbook at all, the answer is: yes, you probably do. There may be students who can squeeze a profitable education out of the "casebook" approach, but I'm not one of them and you probably aren't either.

During your first semester, it will be tempting to spend a lot of time briefing cases. Don't let me talk you out of doing so, or you'll be really mad at me the first time you get called on unprepared. But you'll probably be better off spending a little less time briefing and a little more time reading this hornbook first.

Arizona State Law Student
This is the most helpful study aid available for Civil Procedure! The text is very easy to understand and it is orgainized to follow the progression of the law school course. The authors do an excellent job of explaining the development of personal jurisdiction and subject matter jurisdiction to the present day. It also does a fine job of explaining the federal rules (and includes an index of each FRCP and where it is cited).

The Molecular Biology of Chloroplasts and Mitochondria in Chlamydomonas (Advances in Photosynthesis, Vol 7)
Published in Hardcover by Kluwer Academic Publishers (January, 1900)
Authors: J.-D Rochaix, S. Merchant, and M. Goldschmidt-Clermont
Average review score:

the new testament of green yeast
This book covers not only the state of the art in using Chlamydomonas to study chloroplasts and mitochondria, it has useful chapters on general chlamydomonas techniques such as transformation. Definately a useful book for any lab using Chlamydomonas. It is probably too expensive for most individuals, which is why I only give it four stars.
